Our Story
Sindisa Sanctuary was founded in 2015 on 250 acres in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California. We welcomed our first rescue resident in 2016, a retired racehorse, and have proudly continued our mission to provide a forever home for a menagerie of rescued farm animals including wild horses, domestic horses, mules, pigs, alpacas, cows, and donkeys.
DONATE
Updated 3/6/22: We have recovered from the extensive damage due to the Kincade fire. THANK YOU to all that have donated to help us rebuild.
We are committed to sustaining the well-being of our beloved rescue residents during this challenging time, as well as bringing in new animals to the sanctuary as needed.
We'll keep you posted on the progress that you help enable.
“Sindisa Sanctuary is so amazing! Literally the first camp site I have ever been to with running water, pool, wine glasses and an outdoor shower. I could have stayed for a month. Sarah made everything so easy and special for us. We will 100% be back we LOVED it! There are horses, alpacas and we brought my dog too and he had a blast. I would highly recommend this place! Happy Trails.”
